Parade of Ponds
for 2009 is now just a memory.
We had 34
of our finest ponds, waterfalls, pondless waterfalls and water gardens open for a self guided tour. This includes 11 new tour stops for 2009.
As we did in 2008 all proceeds from the Parade went to benefit
Shepherd's Table
celebrating their 26th year of providing food and services to the needy in our local community.
This year we scaled back on the number of ponds to have them in a more cohesive group so they can be toured more easily. All of the ponds were in the Montgomery and Howard Counties of Maryland except one magnificant property right over the DC line near Silver Spring
Properties included Bethesda, Burtonsville, Ellicott City, Derwood, Laurel, Montgomery Vill, Rockville and Silver Spring.

Tickets were purchased online or at Seibel's Restaurant in Burtonsville, Sun Nurseries in Woodbine or Johnson's Garden in Laytonsville.
Tickets are $15 per person. Kids are free.
Once the tickets are purchased, we receive a notification and then an email will be sent to you with the directions to the ponds and a little bit about each pond. We will post a general location of the ponds as they are confirmed.
Kelly Billing of Maryland Aquatic Nursery conducted a book signing of her book, "The Lotus, Know it, Grow it" at one of our Burtonsville locations. We are very excited that Kelly offered to participate in this event.
Kelly has also co-authored a new book, "The Water Gardener's Bible: A Step by Step Guide to Building, Planting"... w/ Ben Helm.
Perfect for those of us into water gardening.
